In 1980, the Dellafiora brothers embarked on their entrepreneurial journey with nothing but a bright yellow van and a determination to make a mark in Queens, New York. Originally starting out by mowing lawns and providing landscaping services, they quickly noticed a rising demand for automatic irrigation systems among their clientele. Seizing the opportunity, they dove into the world of irrigation installations, fueled by a strong work ethic and a deep bond between each other. Working very long hours in the trenches, they ignited the spark that would eventually fuel Pacific's growth.

Overcoming Challenges

In the early days without computers, managing our growth was a manual and grueling process. We faced significant challenges in mapping, routing, and scheduling with only pen and paper, often working long hours to keep up. Training our staff quickly while upholding high standards added to our steep learning curve. Financial management too became a complex endeavor as we expanded. These tough lessons forged a robust system of operations, laying the groundwork for our successful shift to franchising.

Embracing Franchising

In the early 2000s, as Pacific grew, so did the ambitions of our technicians and installers. Transitioning to franchising was a bold step, especially being the first irrigation-only franchise. This move was about empowering our loyal technicians who had grown with us—many of whom became our first franchise owners. We provided close guidance and support, helping them transform their hard-earned skills into successful businesses. This new model not only kept our high standards of service but also expanded opportunities for those who had been integral to our success.

Expansion and Growth

In 2017, we embarked on a major expansion beyond the Tri-State area, pushing our presence nationwide. With the addition of new team members, we gained the capacity to scale to unprecedented levels. Doubling our number of franchisees, this period marked a significant shift in our mindset towards scaling.
